For the past 25 years, my day job has been a licensed Aircraft Mechanic and Inspector, working on Piper Cubs to Boeing 747s. I have been twisting Stainless Steel Safety wire for all of that time and who would have thought that skill could transfer over to wire wrapping jewelry ? ( Trust me - Sterling Silver and 14k Gold filled wire are so much easier to work with.
Before I wrap a stone, I hold it in my hand and look at it from every angle, waiting for the stone to tell me how it wants to be wrapped. I make every effort to bring out the stones' own natural beauty. I use only the finest material available - you won't find any cheap plastic in my creations! Now isn't that what you are looking for in hand made jewelry?
Nature is my inspiration! I use a wide variety of natural materials including Jasper & Agates, Turquoise & Coral, Glass & Pearls. Also the entire Gemstone family of Apatite & Amethyst, Citrine & Peridot, Chalcedony & Tourmaline. Not to mention the finest lead crystal on earth, made by Swarovski. These are just a few of the marvelous materials I use to wrap using solid Sterling Silver, 14k Gold filled, Copper or Brass wire.
